Igor Mavrin, PhD is assistant professor at the Academy of Arts and Culture in Osijek. His PhD thesis was on urban and regional development induced by the European Capital of Culture title. He was engaged in several ECoC bids as consultant. He was the editor of Osijek 2020 ECoC candidate city bid book (shortlisted bid), and consultant for Novi Sad 2022 (ECoC city) and Banja Luka 2024 (shortlisted bid). He teaches courses related to cultural management, urban economics, tourism studies and cultural policies
Contribution to / engagement with UNeECC: Conference participant and author (Kaunas 2022, Veszprem 2023, Tisimoara 2024) and conference session chair (Veszprem 2023). Initiated Academy of Arts and Culture in Osijek joining UNeECC. UNeECC onference organization and implementation.
