Dear UNeECC members and visitors of the website,
We hereby cordially invite you to participate in our Annual Conference of this year which takes place from 24 to 26 September 2026 in Novi Sad (Serbia), European Capital of Culture 2022.
It will be a special occasion as we celebrate the foundation of the University Network of the European Capitals of Culture two decades ago in Pécs (Hungary).
During these 20 years our Network has grown to over 60 member universities from all over Europe. Academics, researchers and PhD students have presented their interdisciplinary work and findings at our annual conference, many for subsequent publication. The conference is at a member university or universities located in the host nation’s capital of culture. The meetings bring together scientists from different disciplines and facilitate interchange with cultural authorities and practitioners within the setting of the ECoC initiative and broader European cultural environment.
This year’s theme ‘Cultural Crossroads’ allowed for the organization of a joint conference with three other partners, i.e. CTTH, the international conference Contemporary Trends in Tourism and Hospitality, the International Congress on Architecture and Cultural Heritage in Tourism, and GDA, the Green Digital Accessibility conference.

We are convinced this outreach experiment will contribute to the further development of even more international and interdisciplinary contacts for our members and interchange between researchers throughout Europe and across scientific disciplines.
