The EU-funded peer learning programme Cultural Heritage in Action (2021-2023) – of which Europa Nostra is a proud partner – will continue to empower Europe's cities and regions to strengthen their heritage-related policies and initiatives as well as develop innovative solutions to preserve their cultural heritage assets.
The call for the European Heritage Youth Ambassador Programme 2022 will open on 15 December with a deadline for application on 16 January 2022. This joint programme of European Students' Association for Cultural Heritage (ESACH), Europa Nostra and the European Heritage Tribune, calls for students and young people from all over Europe and beyond to share their stories and experiences in the heritage field and to represent the voice of young people within heritage organisations.
The European Heritage Awards / Europa Nostra Awards 2022 are open for submissions! Next year will mark the 20th anniversary of Europe's most prestigious Awards in the heritage field. Europe's most inspiring architects, craftsmen, cultural heritage experts, professionals, volunteers, public and private institutions, and local communities have a new chance to be recognised for their achievements!
UNICA, the Network of Universities from the Capitals of Europe, recently published the UNICA Student Declaration. In the Declaration, students from UNICA universities call academic and policy leaders across Europe to unlock the full potential of Higher Education Institutions in achieving better societies, especially in the post-COVID 19 era. To succeed in this endeavour, UNICA students stress that universities must put efforts into becoming more inclusive, sustainable, community driven, and concerned with wellbeing.
